Together, these chemical components are known to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties, among other therapeutic effects. In particular, our wildcrafted Frankincense Frereana natural essential oil has much more alpha-thujene than some of the other popular varieties of Frankincense, such as Carterii and Sacra. The only type that has more is Frankincense Serrata.
Alpha-thujene has a green, woody aroma and is generally associated with Eucalyptus oils. It is easy to see how the therapeutic components of this natural oil lend themselves to supporting the breath and lungs!
