About Us

Miracle Botanicals was founded in 2011 by Hope Johnson and her family on the island of Hawai’i, with a deep reverence and appreciation for nature and the powerful healing impact that essential oils and plant medicines of all kinds can have on the physical body and emotions. They found that their lives were enhanced so deeply by essential oils that they wanted to share them with others.

Over a decade later, we continue to be a small family-run business, now with hundreds of different botanical treasures available for our customers.

We work with skilled distillers and farmers around the world. Some of them have been growing and distilling the same botanicals for generations as their family trade, while others gently traverse dense forests to ethically harvest small quantities of the most potent plants, distilling them in small artisan batches. Some of our products are even distilled from plants in our own backyard!

We intentionally choose distillers who harvest at the right time and craft with care, resulting in oils that are alive with the character and vitality of the plant itself. From an herbalist's perspective, how a plant is grown and prepared matters. We know that a well-distilled oil reflects its environment and the care behind it.

Each offering is handled with intention before being bottled and shared. All of our oils are third-party tested to ensure they are free from synthetics, pesticides, and adulteration.

As Miracle Botanicals continues to evolve, our commitment remains the same: purity, integrity, and respect for the plants and the people who cultivate them. Hope, who helped shape the early vision of Miracle Botanicals, now serves in a consulting role and continues to offer her insight behind the scenes, while other members of our family and community merrily fill bottles by hand, alchemize new blends, and respond to your emails.
