Description
This remarkable Coconut Essential Oil is a CO2 extraction of coconut pulp. It resembles traditional coconut oil in many ways and carries many of the same therapeutic benefits.
However, due to the different method of extraction, there are some notable differences between this Coconut Essential Oil and ordinary coconut oil. First, some compounds present in coconut oil are not present in the CO2 extract, and vice versa.
A pleasant consequence is that this Coconut Essential Oil carries a more powerful coconut aroma than virgin coconut oil. As a result, this essential oil is amazing not just for therapeutic aromatherapy blends, but also as a fragrance in natural perfumes and even as an ingredient in cooking.
Note: This product does solidify at cool temperatures. To liquefy the oil, place the bottle under running warm to hot water for about 30 seconds to a minute, until the oil becomes pourable.
Properties: Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, Antifungal, Anti-Inflammatory, Analgesic
Perfumery Note: Base
Aroma: Rich, Creamy, Nutty, Buttery
Benefits
Skincare... Like virgin coconut oil, Coconut Essential Oil is commonly used in aromatherapy for alleviating a number of skin issues, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and dandruff. It is known to reduce damaging inflammation and moisturize the skin to allow quicker healing.
Candida and other fungal infections... Several fatty acids found in coconut oil have been scientifically proven to be powerful and natural antifungal agents, and have been used to treat cases of chronic candida infections.
Energizing and uplifting... CO2 Coconut is energizing to both the mind and the body. Its aroma is stabilizing and uplifting, and its unique collection of medium-chain triglycerides can stimulate and nourish the body during demanding or stressful situations.
