Together, these chemical components are known to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties, among other therapeutic effects. In particular, our wildcrafted Frankincense Frereana pure essential oil has much more alpha-thujene than some of the other popular varieties of Frankincense, such as Carterii and Sacra. The only type that has more is Frankincense Serrata.
Alpha-thujene has a green, woody aroma and is generally associated with Eucalyptus oils. It is easy to see how the therapeutic components of this oil lend themselves to supporting the breath and lungs! Its sweet and spacious aroma will not get lost in a blend — try mixing it with Bergamot, Cedarwood, or Vetiver.
