How to use
On the body
TopicalTo wear the pure oud on skin, blend it into a carrier oil at about 1 to 3 percent for the body, which is roughly 6 drops in 15 ml. Do a patch test on the inner arm and wait a day before wider use, and never put this oil on neat. The 10% Meadowfoam oud is already skin-ready and can be dabbed on as it is.
In a diffuser
In the airIn a water diffuser, one drop of oud is enough for a room, since the oil is strong and carries a long way. Run the diffuser for 30 to 60 minutes, then give the room a rest and some fresh air. Add a second drop only if the scent should be fuller.
Handling a thick oil
HandlingWarm the bottle in your hand before you pour, since oud is thick and moves slowly at room temperature. Tip it a drop at a time, because a little goes a long way and the oil is costly to waste. Cap it tightly and keep it out of reach of children.

Agarwood oil is a wood oil distilled from the fragrant, resin-formed heartwood of the Aquilaria tree, and yes, oud is the perfume world's name for the same material. You will also see it called oudh or aloeswood. The oil is thick, dark and deeply woody.
Oud smells of deep, dry wood with a soft smoky, leathery edge and a trace of sweetness underneath. It is often called a scent with few natural echoes, which is why it stands out at once. The aroma is quiet at first and grows warmer and fuller as it is worn. Some people read a faint animal note in it too.
Pure oud is rare because only a few wild Aquilaria ever build the dark resin, and those that do give little oil for the weight of wood. The trees are slow to make it, and the wood is now scarce and protected. That scarcity, not any marketing, is what sets oud apart. A drop of the pure oil is all you need.
Yes, Aquilaria crassna is an endangered species, listed as critically endangered. Every Aquilaria sits on the CITES list too, so buying oud responsibly matters. That is why we partner with small-batch distillers who work in small runs, and third-party test the oil against adulteration. Honest sourcing is the answer to a rare and protected tree, not a reason to avoid it.
