Rose (Bulgarian) Essential Oil - Rose Otto (Rosa Damascena)
- Valley of Roses. Rosa damascena blossoms from Kazanlak, Bulgaria, steam distilled into a pale straw oil with a thin consistency.
- 32.75% citronellol in this batch, with geraniol at 22.06% and nonadecane at 20.94%. See the chemistry.
- Hydrating skin care. Nourishing for dry and sensitive skin, and it helps skin renew itself.
- Love and gratitude. Uplifting and heart-opening, it brings up feelings of love and compassion.
- Congeals when cool. It turns thick or solid below 75°F, which is normal for a true Rose Otto.
- Pure or diluted. Pure Rose Otto in 2.5ml, 5ml and 10ml bottles, or a 10% dilute in Meadowfoam in 5ml, 10ml and 30ml.

How to use
On the skin
DilutedMix 6 to 12 drops into one ounce of a carrier oil such as Meadowfoam Seed Oil or Argan Oil, a 1 to 2% dilution. Apply to clean, damp skin. If your skin is sensitive, patch test a small spot first.
Massage oil
AphrodisiacMix 6 drops of Rose Otto and 4 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil into 1 oz of Meadowfoam Seed Oil. Massage over any and all body areas, as desired.
Bath
In the bathMix 4 to 5 drops into a handful of bath salt, or into an ounce of light cream or whole milk, then stir it into the bath water. A teaspoon of Pomegranate Seed Oil also helps the oil spread through the water.
Diffuser
In the airFollow your diffuser maker's instructions. In a nebulizing diffuser, 8 to 20 drops is typical.
