Carrot Root Essential Oil is a C02 extract from the familiar carrot. It is actually an emulsion of carrot root extract and jojoba oil, as the undiluted form would be too thick for typical applications. It is distinct from Carrot Seed Essential Oil, though the two oils are complementary and share a number of beneficial properties.

Like Carrot Seed Essential Oil, Carrot Root Essential Oil is one of the most valuable oils when it comes to skin and hair care. In addition, it's also used in aromatherapy for its detoxifying effects and for its powerful anti-aging properties.

How To Use Essential Oils

Blends well with: Carrot Seed, Helichrysum, Rose Otto, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Frankincense, Geranium, German Chamomile

Recipes

For Stronger, Fuller Hair

1 oz. Argan Oil
2 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
8 drops Carrot Root Essential Oil

Blend the oils together and massage the blend into your scalp and the roots of your hair. Allow it to stay for at least a half hour. Wash your hair with your normal shampoo afterwards.

Recovery for Dry, Chapped Skin

1 oz. Argan Oil
4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
4 drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil
4 drops Carrot Root Essential Oil
4 drops German Chamomile

Mix the oils, and apply to any irritated and dry areas until your skin recovers.

Smoothing Out Wrinkles

1 oz. Argan Oil
6 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
6 drops Carrot Root Essential Oil

Blend the oils together and apply in the morning and before bed. Allow the oils to absorb into your skin.

I don't know what to think about Carrot Root Essential Oil yet. It is nothing like Carrot Seed Essential Oil. I would think of it as a modifier of the Carrot Seed Oil. Something to lock a concentration of Carrot Seed and other oils in a topical application. Since it's a dilute in Jojoba Oil, it will act differently than if it was in Coconut oil. I'm looking at making a topical consisting of Manuka, CO2 Coconut Oil, Carrot Root Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, and Helichrysum Oil. In a Lighter Carrier Oil such as Coconut Carrier Oil.
