Cassia Essential Oil has a warm spicy and earthy aroma, similar to cinnamon and red hot candies! Our Cassia oil is steam distilled from the bark of the Chinese Cinnamon tree. Cassia Essential Oil is a wonderful addition to warm, seasonal blends during the winter months. Its potency can ensure that a little goes a long way.

Cassia Essential Oil closely resembles Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil and is widely used as a more economical substitute for its more expensive cousin. Often times the cinnamon sticks we buy in the store are the Cassia variety of Cinnamomum and it tends to have a sharp, spicy-sweet smell and flavor.

NOTE: Cassia Essential Oil should not be used during pregnancy or during breastfeeding. It also needs to be highly diluted (at less than 1%) if being used topically.

Specific Benefits of Cassia Essential Oil:

Purifying and Detoxifying

Cassia Essential Oil is a powerful purifier, as viruses, bacteria, and fungus cease to live in the oil. In addition, cinnamon bark oil is commonly used to help heal topical and respiratory infections.

Pain Relief

Cassia Essential Oil is a hot oil (can cause heat when used on the skin neat, and must be blended with carrier oil when used topically). Because of this, Cassia Essential Oil is used in aromatherapy to help relieve symptoms of rheumatism, arthritis, and sore muscles. Make sure to dilute properly to prevent skin irritation.

Stimulating

Cassia Essential Oil is regarded in aromatherapy for its ability to increase blood flow to the mind and the body, while uplifting the spirit and ridding one of anxiety and depression. Also, the oil is used to ease irritability, drowsiness, and increase libido.

NOTE: Cassia Essential Oil should not be used during pregnancy or during breastfeeding. It also needs to be highly diluted (at less than 1%) if being used topically.
