Catnip is a member of the mint family and grows in the wild as a weed. Catnip Essential Oil is a stimulant herb for felines, but has a sedative effect on humans. It is commonly used as an insect repellent.

Natural insect repellent
Pine Resin Turpentine Essential Oil
Catnip Essential Oil
Both of these oils are highly effective natural insect repellents. Simply add a drop of them to your clothes to ward away bugs and other pests.
Relaxing bath blend
1 teaspoon Pomegranate Seed Oil
1 drop Catnip Essential Oil
2 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Mix the essential oils with the pomegranate seed oil before adding them to the bath water to help the oils to disperse well.
Conquering insomnia
1 oz. Meadowfoam Seed Oil
8 drops Valerian Root Essential Oil
8 drops Lavender Essential Oil
8 drops Catnip Essential Oil
Mix the essential oils with the meadowfoam seed oil, and then apply this blend to your chest and to the back of your neck. Alternately, diffuse the essential oils before going to sleep.
