Description
Neroli Hydrosol is derived from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree.
In order to create quality Neroli Hydrosol (and Neroli Essential Oil), the orange blossoms must be harvested and distilled immediately thereafter. This flower yields one of the most complex-smelling hydrosols on the market, and many people actually prefer wearing the hydrosol as perfume or cologne instead of the essential oil. The aroma is floral, sweet, fruity, refreshing, sublime and luscious, with a hint of green-ness. It is appealing to both men and women.
This hydrosol also boasts many therapeutic properties, including the ability to calm the nervous system without causing sleepiness. It is wonderful for caffeine jitters, calming children, or soothing shock. Some research suggests it may also be helpful for people with ADHD and supportive for the physical and emotional bodies when one's system is going through detox.
In skincare, this floral water is consdered to be a wonderful aid for delicate, sensitive, or oily skin. It has been used to clear acne and irritations, and makes a great addition to face masks or used as a toner on its own. (Because of its astringent nature, it may be better to avoid use on very dry skin.)
Properties: Astringent, Antibacterial, Antimicrobial, Antianxiety, Aphrodisiac, Sedative, Tonic
