We have added many New Products lately, and it's been very exciting, I wanted to let you in on the excitement, so I summarized each of our new offerings below.
We've also Restocked some of our favorites, which I also summarized, following the new products. Following restocked products, I've summarized our Free Products.
This is one of my favorite nostalgic aromas. It reminds me of anisette cookies, which were around my Italian household. I just put a few drops on my tongue. I can attest that it's delightfully mild yet powerfully effective as a breath freshener.
This Juniper is similar to our steam-distilled Juniper Berry, but it smells sweeter and milder to me. It has significantly more myrcene - the pain relieving / sedative chemical. Read my full comparison Here. I like this one in the shower to get things moving in the morning. Just a drop or two can spread on wet skin from toes to shoulders.
Whenever someone asks me, "What's the best essential oil to clear congestion", my answer is "Inula!!". I, and many others, love the way this oil seems to clear things up very quickly, and not just physically!
This green-colored Inula replaces the one we've carried for many years and which is no longer available. It's green because it was distilled in a copper still, which is a more traditional method of distillation. It smells a little bit lighter and more floral than the yellow variety, but once inhaled into the lungs, its super-powered potency can be instantly recognized!
(We still have about 10oz of the diluted Yellow Inula in stock. If you want some, be sure to grab it before it's gone.)
We just ran out of our expeller-pressed Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil, and we replaced it with this cold-pressed variety. The oil comes from right here on the Big Island of Hawaii. It's hand-delivered by a neighbor who stays just a few blocks from us.
It's super-fresh. It was just pressed about two weeks ago, so it's a little green and pungent smelling still. But it'll be stable for at least 18 more months. (Note: cold-pressed kukui isn't as stable as expeller pressed, but cold-pressed is preferred to nutrient value). We only got a gallon of this oil so we can keep replenishing it regularly.
Musk has quickly become one of my favorite essential oils. A few months ago, I dabbed a drop behind my ears for the first time, and I was immediately fond of the sensory effect. This essential oil has some of the best longevity of any essential oil I've ever encountered, I can still detect some hints of its aroma days after application.
This is the same botanical as our German Chamomile essential oil. There is no difference between "Blue" and "German" Chamomile. I'm calling this one "Blue" to distinguish between the two chamomiles that we carry.
When I first applied this essential oil, the aroma went straight to my sinuses, brain, and lungs. It was camphoraceous and powerfully clearing. It's a "wake-up" kind of oil.
But within about a minute, the aroma mellowed into a deep, woodsy, floral, citrus, cologne-like aroma. Still, I could detect the gentle clearing effects long after the initial camphoraceous notes faded.
This essential oil is only produced by one source on the southwestern corner of Australia, and we get the oil directly from the source.
Out of all of the different varieties of Roses available, the Bulgarian variety is considered the most therapeutic due to its chemical composition due to having been grown on Bulgarian soil. Hydrosol is like a light version of essential oil. It's the steam water left over after it's used to distill pure rose essential oil.
One great thing about rose hydrosol is the price as compared to rose essential oil (which we also offer). You can get the subtle therapeutic benefits of pure rose oil, in a lighter, gentler, water-based spray.
After a long while of not being able to source this oil anywhere, it's Back!! Hooray! I, for one, am super happy to have access to this beautiful melaleuca oil again. Speaking of melaleuca, this oil completes our melaleuca set, so that one is back in stock as well (see below).
I'm excited to get blending with this oil again. The first one I'll do is a new Clarity blend...without Pinon Pine in it this time because that oil is in such short supply right now.
We have had all of the oils in this set except for the beloved Nerolia. Now it's back and so is this well-loved set, after having been sold out for years! Hooray!
