Lavender, Spike Lavender, Lavandin
Lavandin is a hybrid plant, a cross between Lavender Angustafolia (True Lavender) and Lavender Latifolia (Spike Lavender). True Lavender (male) grows at a higher elevation than Spike Lavender (female). The two varieties of Lavender are naturally cross-pollinated by bees and insects, and the result is a larger plant that yields an aroma that's sweeter and less medicinal than Lavender.
