In the airCinnamon bark is strong, so start with the smallest amount in your diffuser's water and let the scent build. Run the diffuser for 30 to 60 minutes, then give the room a rest for as long, with some fresh air moving. Do not breathe it in directly for more than 15 to 20 minutes.
Around the home
Passive scentFor a gentler way to scent a room, put a few drops of cinnamon bark on a reed diffuser, on pinecones or in a bowl of potpourri. It works slowly and evenly, which suits a strong, diffusive oil like this one. No heat and no water needed.
On the skin
Use with careCinnamon bark counts as a strong skin sensitizer, so we never use it neat. Method. Add the drops to your diffuser's water and run the blend for 30 to 60 minutes before airing the room. One cinnamon drop is plenty here, so set the orange and clove around it and switch it on.
