Just the other day, I mixed Indian Vetiver with Cedar wood and Lavender essential oils. I was pleasantly surprised when the combo smelled like Sacred Frankincense, which is my favorite oil. I know that some people do not like vetiver, due to its grassy aroma, but I love to mix it with other oils to make unique perfumes.
Expensive, but worth it. Smells great and blends nicely with other oils. Good for focus and sleep. If it gives you unwanted lucid dreams, add a little Juniper Berry.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this particular scent, but it's wonderful. It has a woodsy aroma with a hint of smoke that I find very relaxing.
If you are unsure about origin making a difference, try the Vetiver Trio which lets you see the difference between Indian, Haitian, and Indonesian Vetiver. I personally prefer the Indian, which is also the only Organic choice. This Indian Vetiver does not disappoint. If Vetiver gives you nightmares, try adding a bit of Juniper Berry to the blend.
It was not as aromatic as I expected Indian Vetiver to be.
