Uplifting... Like all varieties of sandalwood, Australian sandalwood essential oil enhances mood, focuses the mind, and creates a feeling of calm. As a result, it is one of the most common essential oils used to aid meditation and spiritual practice.
Natural pain relief... Australian sandalwood essential oil helps relax nerves and muscles. Because of this, it is very useful in treating and removing painful spasms, cramps, and aches.
Directions
See our article for general instructions on How To Use Essential Oils
Note that sandalwood is one essential oil that is often applied without any carrier oil. It's a more fatty (non-astringent) oil, which is more suitable for direct application.
Australian sandalwood essential oil also does well in dilution and blended with other oils. It's considered a fixative and will help stabilize the aroma and integrity of other essential oils.
Blends well with: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Chamomile Roman, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lavender, Neroli, Palo Santo, Patchouli, Rose Otto, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang.
