Description
Greenland moss or ledum, is the appropriate name for this essential oil. However, history has a remarkable way of influencing names. Labrador tea is so labeled because a beverage was commonly extracted from the ledum plant. This medicinal beverage was held in high esteem by the Indigenous peoples of Canada.
As a tonic, Greenland moss tea was ingested to strengthen the respiratory and digestive systems. Many women found solace using the plant to aid in childbirth; and it was a knockout when used against stubborn headaches.
The steam distilled aromatic oil of Labrador tea is beneficial today for its remedial properties. Labrador oil is indicated for intense stress and anxiety-related conditions. And, if insomnia haunts your bedroom like a plague, Labrador tea can fight that off, too.

Benefits
Supports the Immune System
Labrador tea essential oil strengthens the body to deal with situations that may suppress or weaken one’s immune defense. It’s a perfect candidate to show off during the flu and cold season.
We all could use additional support against innumerable microorganisms lurking in the shadows, and that’s exactly what ledum oil provides.
Bolsters the Digestive System
Labrador lends a hand when your digestive system comes up short. Support is especially extended when you suffer from conditions that affect the liver and poor digestion.
The oil may also prove useful if you suffer from a loss of appetite.
Supports Lymphatic Function
Have you been feeling fatigued and drained of late? Is it commonplace to feel pain without knowing its source? Do you often encounter swelling, bumps, and even lumps?
Your lymphatic system might be congested. Regular use of Labrador oil may encourage proper lymphatic function so that you can feel less ‘clogged’ in your own world.
As a powerful circulatory tonic, you may find Labrador tea essential oil useful when dealing with venous congestion related conditions such as varicose veins.
Supports Chronically Stressed and Sleep Deprived Individuals
Prolonged stress leaves you vulnerable to infectious diseases and disorders, as it weakens the immune system and diminishes your quality of life.
As Labrador tea essential oil encourages relaxation when you’re immersed in stress, it can be used as a sleep aid. That’s right, when insomnia comes knocking, use ledum oil to keep it at bay.
Are you easily agitated or aroused? Labrador tea essential oil empowers you to embrace peace and tranquility when disturbed.
Add a few drops of the oil to our “Sleepy” blend and you’re as good as gold.
Gentle on the Skin
Soft, toned skin is yours for the taking with this slightly mossy essential oil. The skin has a deep love for Labrador tea oil, so during allergy season when you’re prone to erupt in hives or rashes, it’s a reliable, supportive oil to have on hand.
Greenland moss essential oil can also be used alongside skin regenerative oils to promote tissue healing.
Heightens Focus and Alertness
Do you find it difficult committing to certain tasks because you have the attention span of a child?
The stimulating action of Ledum essential oil supports your ability to concentrate and think with clarity, especially on hectic days.
