This Organic Spike Lavender is organically grown in Spain. We carry several different varieties of traditional Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), but this Spike Lavender Essential Oil actually comes from a different species of plant, whose botanical name is Lavandula Latifolia Medikus. This species is known for its high camphor content, and has superior analgesic and expectorant properties when compared to traditional Lavender.
Although Spike Lavender and traditional Lavender possess many of the same therapeutic qualities, Spike Lavender is more stimulating and energizing. This makes it a wonderful plant ally for situations where calm concentration and focus are needed. This essential oil is wonderful for the diffusor!
