How to use
Diffuser
In the airAdd 3 to 5 drops to a home diffuser and run it for 30 to 60 minutes, then give the room the same time off with some fresh air. Lemon carries well, so start at the low end and add a drop at a time until it smells right. Keep the diffuser out of reach of children and pets.
On the skin
TopicalDilute lemon in a carrier oil and never put it on neat. Because lemon oil is phototoxic, keep any leave-on use low, about 2 drops in 30 ml of carrier, and patch test a small spot on the inner forearm first. Keep treated skin out of direct sun and off sunbeds for the day, since sunlight on the oil can cause lightening and sensitivity.
Around the home
On surfacesAround the home, add about 10 drops of lemon to a spray bottle with 2 cups of water for a bright, citrus-scented surface spray. Shake it before each use, and keep it off wood and stone that water can mark. This is a rinse-and-wipe use, so the sun caution does not apply.
