Cocoa Absolute Oil - Hexane Free (Theobroma Cacao)

Cocoa Absolute comes from the dried, unroasted beans of Theobroma cacao. It is made with a hexane-free solvent extraction, and the country of origin is France. The absolute is an opaque, rich brown with a thick consistency. It smells chocolaty, sweet, warm and exotic, and in a blend it works as a middle note.

The smell of chocolate is familiar and pleasant. Breathing in Cocoa Absolute helps lower stress and brings on feelings of relaxation and quiet happiness, which makes it a lovely oil to diffuse at the end of a long day.

It can help with a sweet tooth, too. The deep chocolate aroma can make your brain feel as if you have already eaten something sweet and satisfying, so it may help curb your appetite and quiet sugar cravings. Put a drop of Cocoa Absolute and a drop of Peppermint on a handkerchief and breathe it in through the day.

Chocolate is a well-known aphrodisiac, and much of that effect comes from its scent. For a sweet, romantic soak, mix 8 drops of Cocoa Absolute, 8 drops of Vanilla and 4 drops of Rose Otto into a tablespoon of Argan Oil, then add it to the bath. For other baths, mix 4 to 5 drops into a handful of bath salt or an ounce of whole milk before adding it to the water.
