Koa - Blend of Essential Oils for Strength and Confidence

Koa - Blend of Essential Oils for Strength and Confidence

I was so blessed when a friend (also named Hope) asked me to create a blend of essential oils for confidence and strength. She wanted me to use the same ingredients that are in Young Living's Valor™ blend.

My friend said that I could probably make it better and that she had been buying 5ml bottles of it for $50. She was sure I would come up with a better price.

Side note....We used to have a blend called "Valor" before we were informed by Young Living's attorney that the name was already taken.
We still have the same blend, but we've renamed it. We've been calling it Honor for several years now.

I had no idea what was in Young Living's Valor™ blend until recently. I researched which essential oils Young Living used for their blend, and I gathered the exact same essential oils to make a blend according to my friend's request.

All of the essential oils for the new blend were sourced by me and Tony (my husband)....which means that each of them passed our tests for quality, purity, and potency. Also, the essential oil ratios were spontaneously guided once my mind was focused on formulating this blend.
I named the blend "Koa", because it sounds awesome "koh-uh", and it means "brave" in Hawaiian. Koa is also the name of the largest native tree here on the islands. (A Koa tree is pictured in the image above)

Koa trees have a long history and a variety of uses...one of which is being food for our parasitic Hawaiian Sandalwood trees.
There is no actual Koa in the Koa blend. I would love to smell Koa's essential oils, but I've not yet heard of Koa being distilled for essential oil.
Needless to say, this blend is amazing (otherwise I wouldn't be writing about it.) I never had the chance to smell Young Living's version, but my friend who had been buying it (and loving it), said that my Koa blend was much more appealing and enlivening.
I have also been carrying this blend around and getting a great response from my community.
The aroma is fresh and slightly sweet. It's both comforting and confronting at the same time...like it's asking us to become aware of anything we're using to make ourselves feel weak, cowardly, or self-conscious....without judging ourselves about it.
Here's a quick look at all of the ingredients in my new Koa blend:
Frankincense Carterii Essential Oil (Boswellia Carterii) For mental focus and to promote a calm and balanced emotional state
Black Spruce Essential Oil - Organic (Picea Mariana) For reduced anxiety and stress, and to clear sadness and mental fatigue. Also, it is used for helping to clear negative emotions and allows feelings of peace and contentment to develop.
Anti-inflammatory action on the nerves. Indicated for general nervousness and anxiety.
Blue Tansy Essential Oil - Organic (Tanacetum Annuum) Useful for relief from stress and tension. It is known to be emotionally relaxing, and to reduce irritability, anxiety, and anger while promoting focus and calm.
Geranium Essential Oil - Egypt (Pelargonium Graveolens) Geranium Essential Oil - Egypt (Pelargonium Graveolens)
