Description
At first, the aroma of peanuts may bring up memories of peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches or banking peanut butter cookies with grandma, but we find that the aroma of this essential oil also carries quite a bit of magic. Our CO2 Peanut Essential Oil is intoxicating, grounding, comforting, and apetite-inducing.
The peanut plant originates in South America, and some sources say it has been grown in Brazil and Peru for thousands of years. It is also called the Groundnut or Monkey Nut, and it's Latin botanical name, Hypogaea, means "under the ground".
Roasted peanuts are cold pressed, creating a peanut oil from which the aromatic components are enriched by supercritical fluid extraction (CO2 extraction).
There are no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals and no reproducible microorganisms. This essential oil also contains high amounts of oleic acid, which is necessary to maintain a healthy cholesterol level for cardiovascular health. Try adding a few drops of this essential oil to your milkshakes, smoothies, baked treats, stir fries, homemade candies, or pet treats!
CO2 Peanut Essential Oil is also moisturizing, and can help to reduce dryness and inflammation of the skin. It also provides some UV protection when applied topically. This oil is an excellent addition to your homemade lotions, lip balms, sun screen, and soaps.
