Pine resin essential oil is a form of turpentine, a natural extract that can also be obtained from other tree species. It is steam distilled from the resin that seeps out from pine trees.
Pine resin turpentine essential oil is popularly known as a solvent, but high-quality pine resin oil also has important therapeutic properties. Pine resin essential oil is commonly used for inflammation and pain, and it is also an effective natural insect repellant.
This oil is powerful and should be used with care in small quantities.

Anti-Inflammatory... Pine resin essential oil is commonly used topically to help with irritations due to arthritis and to relieve pain and swelling. In fact, using pine resin oil on aching joints is a long-standing folk remedy.
Insect repellent... Pine resin essential oil is one of the most effective natural insect repellents, with a single drop of the oil sufficient to drive away mosquitoes, gnats, flies, and other pests.
Stress relief... Pine resin essential oil is a natural analgesic and has anti-inflammatory properties. As a result, it is useful in relieving physical and mental stress, particularly when added to bathwater.
Relaxing bath blend:
1 teaspoon Pomegranate Seed Oil
1 drop Pine Resin Turpentine Essential Oil
2 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Mix the essential oils with the pomegranate seed oil before adding them to the bath water to help the oils to disperse well.
Massage oil for pained joints:
1 oz. Pomegranate Seed Oil
1 drop Pine Resin Turpentine Essential Oil
4 drops Yarrow Essential Oil
4 drops Turmeric Essential Oil
Mix all the oils together and use the blend as a massage oil for sore joints and muscles.
Natural insect repellent:
Pine Resin Turpentine Essential Oil
Both of these oils are highly effective natural insect repellents. Simply add a drop of them to your clothes to ward away bugs and other pests.
