Rare Frankincense Essential Oil Set - Frankincense Trifecta Sampler

The Frankincense Trifecta is a small sampler of three rare frankincense oils: Frankincense Papyrifera, Frankincense Neglecta and Organic Frankincense Frereana. Each one comes in its own 5ml amber glass European dropper bottle, and all three are steam distilled.

These three come from three different trees, Boswellia papyrifera, Boswellia neglecta and Boswellia frereana, and each oil has a character of its own. Frankincense Neglecta, for example, comes from Ethiopia and smells fresh, earthy and sweet with a slight minty note. Opening the three bottles one after another is the easiest way to learn how much frankincense can vary.

Frankincense has long been part of religious ceremony because it helps focus, lift and clear the mind. It slows and deepens the breath, and diffusing it can help ease anxiety and bring a calmer mood. It also helps widen the airways and encourages deep, calm breathing.

To use any of the three, follow your diffuser maker's instructions, which for a nebulizing diffuser usually means 8 to 20 drops. For the skin, always dilute first. We suggest 6 to 12 drops per ounce of carrier oil, a 1 to 2% dilution, and a patch test if your skin is sensitive. Steam inhalation works well too. Add 5 drops to a pot of steaming water, put a towel over your head and breathe in the steam.
