Description
This Bulgarian Rose Essential Oil, also known as Rose Otto is harvested from the world-renowned Kazanlak Valley of Roses. The Valley of Roses is the home to hundreds of the finest herbs, botanicals, and plants, as it is considered to have the best soil structure, air humidity, and precipitation.
Bulgarian Rose Otto harvests occur in late spring and are still hand-picked according to the 300-year old tradition. Once the roses are harvested, they are transported in large sacks to the distiller, where the oil is distilled from the freshly picked blossoms.
Roughly 10,000 pounds of rose petals are required to distill one pound of oil. See our Rose diluted in Meadowfoam Seed Oil intended for immediate topical application and perfume!

Benefits
Skincare
Rose essential oil can help improve skin texture and it's used as a remedy for many skin diseases. Keratinocytes provide a physical barrier to the body and control skin features such as moisturization, wrinkles and pigmentation. Diseases like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis occur when there is a disruption in the keratinocytes process.
Rose essential oil can make scars and after marks of boils, acne, and the pox on the skin fade quickly. This includes the fading of stretch marks, surgery scars, and fat cracks associated with pregnancy and delivery. Much of this is due to the antioxidant activity of rose essential oil, which spurs on the healing processes of the skin.
Aphrodisiac
No flower is more closely associated with love than the rose, and with good reason. Rose Otto has powerful aphrodisiac properties, whether it is inhaled, applied to the skin, or used to create a relaxing and fragrant bath.
Anxiety
The anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effects of rose oil have been known for centuries, and the same has been confirmed by several recent studies.
In a 2009 study, it was concluded that rose oil has a relaxing effect on people with stress and depression. Results showed a remarkable improvement in breathing rate, blood oxygen saturation, and systolic blood pressure. In fact, the subjects also confirmed that they felt calmer and relaxed.
Research also suggests that rose oil can help in lowering the anxiety levels during delivering a baby.
Erectile Function
Rose essential oil is known to be beneficial to the circulatory system and it's specifically known to increase blood flow to the penis.
In one study it's was determined that rose oil improved sexual dysfunction in male patients with depression and those who experienced erectile issues as a result of being on medications.
Rose oil not only improved sexual function in the study participants, but also reduced their depression.
Rose essential oil can also increase testosterone levels, which can enhance sexual desire.
Opens the heart to unconditional love and invites gratitude
Rose Otto instills feelings of love, compassion, and gratitude. It is uplifting, and removes feelings of sadness, anxiety, and depression. It’s considered to be one of the key essential oils for balancing the heart chakra.
As with all true Rose Ottos, this oil will congeal in temperatures below 75°
