Description

Vetiver Essential Oil originates in India and is now widely cultivated around the world. The Common Indian Name for Vetiver is Khus. Ancient South Indian documents show that Vetiver Essential has always been used in multiple ways, including perfumery and Ayurvedic treatments.

Today, Vetiver Essential Oil is used in most perfumes, and more often in men's colognes, as the scent tends to be more masculine. Vetiver Essential Oil is extracted from Vetiver roots, which must be at least 18 months old before they are harvested.

The roots are then steam distilled for nearly a day, leaving behind a thick, brown oil with a deep and intricate aroma.

Benefits

Emotional Stability
Vetiver essential oil is well known as "The Oil of Tranquility". It's used to help ground and stabilize the emotions, relax hyperactive minds, and nurture an insecure self.

Grounding and Calming
Vetiver can be used to de-stress, in situations of burnout, anxiety, or emotional instability, and as a way to achieve feelings of peace and calm in difficult situations.

Endocrine & Circulatory Support
Vetiver is also used to stimulate the endocrine glands and circulatory system, while helping lower rapid heart rate and returning the body to a calmer state.

Increase Oxygen
Vetiver Essential Oil contains roughly 96% Sesquiterpenes. Sesquiterpene molecules deliver oxygen molecules to cells.

Cellular Recoding
Sesquiterpene molecules also can erase or deprogram miswritten codes in cellular memory, allowing for much healthier cells.

Aphrodisiac
The aroma of vetiver speaks to warmth and sensuality. That coupled with the benefits of increased oxygen flow, emotional stability, and grounding makes it an excellent choice as an aphrodisiac.

Whole body tonic... Vetiver essential oil is believed to stimulate the immune system, to optimize metabolic function, and to act as a tonic for the liver, the stomach, and the intestines. Vetiver essential oil is used to help ground and stabilize the emotions. It is recommended by aromatherapists for relaxing a hyperactive mind and nurturing an insecure self.

Vetiver

I absolutely LOVE this very soothing, calming EO. I’ve noticed when I diffuse it in my kids room they sleep more soundly. I also use it to stay calm and my kids will use it too when they’re feeling anxious to soothe their nerves

Ground yourself!

So loving Indian Vetiver; she is so grounding and lovely, a little woody and she blends so friendly with others like a drop of Star Anise. I've been using this on a lot of massage clients, especially since the election. I even use it as a fragrance when I go out to help myself and others and just bc it smells so nice.

Great basal Scent

Just the other day, I mixed Indian Vetiver with Cedar wood and Lavender essential oils. I was pleasantly surprised when the combo smelled like Sacred Frankincense, which is my favorite oil. I know that some people do not like vetiver, due to its grassy aroma, but I love to mix it with other oils to make unique perfumes.

The best-smelling vetiver

Expensive, but worth it. Smells great and blends nicely with other oils. Good for focus and sleep. If it gives you unwanted lucid dreams, add a little Juniper Berry.
